You Are The Right Man For The Job
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love” (Eph. 1:2–4 ESV)
Because God has chosen you, His plan is to bless you to help you become the man, husband, and father your family needs.
You are the right man for the job because God has chosen you for a time just like this.
Men, how can you become the fathers that your kids need you to be?
This is a key question and one we’re now in a position to answer. The father your kids need is not someone who provides quick answers or always knows what to tell them. No—what your kids need is for you to be close enough to them to matter when things get rough! Especially now during the Corona Virus. They are learning about the way to handle fear, by watching you. Being afraid is part of life. but how you deal with it can make all the difference in the world. God promises in this verse that He is planning on blessing you with every spiritual blessing there is in heaven. God's resources in heaven are way bigger than the 2 trillion dollar relief package just passed in our government or in any country in the world.
1. Ask God to bless you with those blessing out loud every day!
It’s easy for us to get frustrated when our kids are confused or afraid. We think that we can power them out of their difficulty and tell them everything they need to know. But at the end of the day, what they need is someone who will not move. A present father is like a wall that our kids can lean against. Someone who is close enough to give them courage because they don’t feel alone.
2. Pray out loud over your kids and bless them!
YOU are the right man for the job.
