Heaven Is Still Open - Conquer The Coronavirus With God's Peace
So, how do we conquer the fear of getting Covid-19, which is spreading faster than the virus itself?
Worry is one of the fruits of fear. It keeps you up at night, overwhelms your soul, and can cause many sleepless nights. So, what does the bible teach us to do when fear and worry start to grab your heart.
"4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:6–7 ESV)
I have read, memorized, and did my best to pray the worry out of my heart. How about you? I have thought for years that my breakthrough from anxiety depended on my ability to pray.
But recently, I learned a powerful secret, hidden in verse five right before verse six, that says, "The Lord is at hand," which is where Paul, who wrote this book, originally meant verse five to start.
“4:5 The Lord is at hand; 4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:5–7 ESV)
Here is my new application of these verses:
"Since the Lord God is at hand and has my back, I don't have to worry about anything. Since the Lord is at hand and has my back, all I have to do is turn my worries into prayers and thank Him for the answer before I see it or feel it. God, Himself, will supernaturally infuse my heart with His peace that makes no earthly sense because His peace is centered in Him and flows through Him to me and everyone who understands that. The Lord is at hand and nothing is impossible for us who turn our worries into prayers.
Father, I pray for all of my friends who are watching this video and reading these words, bless them today and protect them from the fear that is gripping the world and remind them that Jesus has already conquered every fear we will face and every virus that tries to steal our life. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Praying for you
Send me an email, and let me know how I can pray for you.
