FATHERWARDS: Why Is Forgiveness SO Difficult?

Have you ever struggled with forgiving someone? You know what I mean—you really want to forgive them, or maybe you thought you had forgiven them, but you still feel angry? You catch yourself using a tone that isn’t kind or saying things that give your heart away.

Today I’m talking about how kindness and forgiveness are interrelated, and why you can’t have one without the other. Do you want to see the fruits of forgiveness working in your life? Do you want to be set free from bitterness? Listen in!

Romans 2:4 says, “Or did you think that because he’s such a nice God, he’d let you off the hook? Better think this one through from the beginning. God is kind, but he’s not soft. In kindness he takes us firmly by the hand and leads us into a radical life-change.” Romans 2:4 MSG

Listen in to this week’s video as I share the following:

  • How kindness and forgiveness are interrelated
  • The place to start on the road to forgiveness
  • What kindness has to do with the eyes of Christ
