My Drama Free Thanksgiving (and How to Have Your Own!)
Fatherwards Episode #12
My wife Jill and I love to watch the holiday movie specials together – and do you know what I’ve noticed recently? All of the Thanksgiving scenes have something to do with a huge family fight! I get asked questions from you guys all the time about dealing with your family over the holidays, so I know that the Thanksgiving fight scenario isn’t too far from the truth.
But I have a theory about why we associate family fights with Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving is one of those holidays where we feel obligated to get together with family members that we otherwise would not be spending time with.
Today, I’m sharing about how to love the family members who make it hard for others to be around them.
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable and it keeps no record of being wronged.” (1 Cor 13:4-5, NLT)
Listen in to this week’s video as I share the following:
- How to love our hard-to-love family members
- What the world looks like through ‘Jesus glasses’
- When and how to set boundaries for difficult family members
Fatherwards is my weekly show helping people turn their hearts towards God our Father. It's NEVER too late for God to change your story! I want to see your life impacted the way mine has been.
I can only share so much in these video messages, so I created a full series called The Blessing of The Father for Families. I want to get it into your hands because you'll notice the huge difference it can make.
It's a six-week set and I made sure everyone can afford it because you will see God's miraculous healing begin in your family.
